HOW TO USE A SCALP SHADER ON THIN HAIR

So let’s start from the beginning, what is the scalp shading?

The process of scalp shading involves applying a concealer product to the skin, a scalp shader, in order to reduce the contrast between the color of the hair and the color of the scalp. 

It provides all-over coverage for larger areas of thinning hair, disguising scalp show-through and balding areas, and giving the appearance of hair where there no longer is any.

For women or men, a hair loss concealer product is the best option to instantly cover thinning hair.

The Kmax scalp shader, replicating the color of the hair through natural pigments, provides substance to the hair shaft, enlarging and covering it, and it lightens the anaesthetic contrast between the underlying scalp color and the hair color, contrast that gives and evident look of baldness.

Hi Francesca! Nice to see you again! We are here to get to know all the secrets about the Kmax scalp shader. Peeking at you we have already seen that you use it in many different ways!

Absolutely! I keep it always at a hand because it became one of my favourite concealer product for the hair makeup: even with a light passage it gives an immediate fuller hair look.

How do you use it?

Well, the secret is to use the right quantity, just the small amount needed to cover the bald areas and give a fuller look to the hair or beard, reducing the contrast with the color of the skin. Exactly as you do when you use your daily skin foundation.

On which areas do you apply it? 

Above all, I use it to cover the bald areas of the hair and beard. It perfectly conceals the empty areas, and it creates the color base. Many times then I combine it with the Kmax Keratin Fibers to give more volume to the hair.

So do you combine the 2 products?

Exactly, first I give color homogeneity with the Kmax scap shader and then I give volume with the Kmax keratin fibers. The secret is to choose the color that best matches with the hair. Even better, you can mix together two different colors, playing with the shades for an even more natural look.

How do you apply it? With your fingers?

Normally I use the provided spatula: much easier to get the right quantity of product and your fingers remain clean.

So as you have said, it is good for the hair, for the beard…

Yes, for hair and beard to conceal the empty and thinning areas, but following the same concept I use it also on the eyebrows to give them a clean and defined shape. Practically I use it as a brow primer to provide color, sculpture, and shading! It is the same method: fill in the bald areas and give depth and dimension.

Have you already tested it on raining days?

Oh yes! And I can confirm that this dry formula is durable under all conditions. As a waterproof product  it totally resists to water, humidity and sweating, so you can apply it even when you go to the gym or if you play beach volley under the summer sun, no risk of black sweat trickling down your forehead. And I tell you another secret: you can also combine it with the color spray to get the perfect final and fixing touch

How do you prefer to remove it? 

I normally use a waterproof makeup remover or a shampoo and it goes away.

Many of them! As I suggest, it should be part of our daily hair care routine.
